The Mabius team has just returned from China: at the Russian Gastro Week, the center of food startups presented several of the most promising products from its portfolio.
At the Mabius stand, everyone could try candies from Siberian berries, Aroma di Estasi desserts based on nuts and honey, and crab delicacies King Claw, which has already started test sales in Europe. Their presentation took place at the Specialty & Fine Food Fair in London last year.
The festival of Russian products Russian Gastro Week was the satellite event of Asia’s largest food innovation exhibition SIAL (Shanghai, 17-19 May). In 2016, Russia became the main exporter of food products to China – before that, the first place was occupied by Turkey. And the volume of deliveries of Russian products is growing with extremely high dynamics: last year exports grew by almost a quarter, and amounted to more than $ 1 billion (http://www.rbc.ru/business/10/11/2016/58247fd69a79475364229ce6). Of course, therefore, Chinese retailers are now looking at new Russian products with special attention: the managers of the center received a lot of positive feedback and comments from experts and ordinary visitors of the exhibition who were interested in “Russian delicacies.” And now the process of their adaptation to the Chinese market begins, both in terms of marketing, and in terms of taste.
